the night has a thousand saxaphones

Rec: nothing seems to let me go by regala_electra. It's a Sam/Dean fusion with The Time Traveller's Wife- short, simple, beautiful, gorgeously subtle, and just generally one of those fics that you didn't know NEEDED to be written until someone went and wrote it.

The swing dance group turned me down, but it was one of those "we like you a lot, you just aren't ready" things and I was very proud of what I did and it was all in all a wonderfully positive experience, for being my first ever audition for anything.

The post office stamp machine gives out only dollar coins as change, no dollar bills. I now have 12 dollar coins, 9 Sacs and 3 Susan Bs. I have never seen so many dollar coins in one place in my whole life. And the Sacs are brand new and SHINY!

So last night was almost as much of a blast as the night before. Suddenly this whole moving thing isn't looking as bad. ( I went out to visit the 3rd street swingers, who dance on the 3rd Street Promenade every other Sunday. )
