1. Did everybody catch Colbert's "Jon Stewart delenda est!" this week? I really want the data on what percentage of their audience got that joke. Because I laughed like a maniac, but I'm just saying: it takes BALLS to make a joke that obscure on air. Who else would have done it? (It's like Adam Savage's "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" ad-lib. Smart men!) So much love.
2. So I know that two workouts does not really make any physical difference, and that two workouts also does not guarantee having snapped out of a depressive cycle... but I feel SO GOOD.
3. You know one of the random things I missed about working out? All the crappy daytime/late night TV in the locker room. Lots of really terrible, sexist reality shows and soap operas. Or, in this case.... the gender-swapped Deal or No Deal! Complete with male soldiers in various states of uniform holding all the briefcases.
Oh, TV. Never change.
4. I just found a program that would export all my info from Palm Desktop into Google Calendar. I have finally uninstalled the last vestige of desktop-based life-management software in my life. Software migration is terrifying. Google now owns not only all my email, but also my entire address book and schedule for three years back. I feel like I ought to be a little more worried about that than I am.

bdblack arrives in T minus 12 hours. I might die of excitement.
Some little elf nominated two of my stories for a Blue Moon award (including the gen one I thought nobody read!). I am all a-twitter! Thank y0ou so much, little elf! I scrounged around a bit today finding some stuff to nominate. I always feel weird doing that because I know I don't remember the best stories I read this year-- The ones that get nominated are just sort of free-association of the stuff I liked over the last four months or so. (Like how Oscar winners are always movies that came out just recently. Or something.) But anyway. Eeee!
And lastly, there is an awesome Valentine's Day thing hosted here. Simply send an email with any anonymous Valentine messages you want to send to any ljer, and
svmadelyn compiles them all.

Seriously, I did not really have a crush on Stephen Colbert before that moment.
