-HOLY HELL do these writers know how to do a cliffhanger.
-I loved Sam Carter in SG1 SO DAMN MUCH but I don't actually like her here. And I loved the Sam/Rodney dynamic in SG1, but not here. *sadface*
-Evil!John in Doppleganger was SO VERY SEXY. I mean, just squirm-inducing. Also, I kind of adore that Rodney dreams about creepy clowns and being eaten by whales. Hee. Rodney, you are so neurotic and ILU.
-The amnesia episode has some FANTASTIC writing, including basically the best teaser I've ever seen, and a stunningly purposeful use of the intercut-timelines structure.
-Also, it features amnesiac Radek menacing Rodney with a SWORD. Okay, a metal bar, actually, it just looked like a sword. Still! Confused panicked amnesiac Radek menacing Rodney with a big pole! *giggles like a 12-year-old*
-"I cannot sit here and wait for you to have an epiphany. I am losing the will to live." Oh Radek. I love you FOREVER. You are such an under-used character and you are AWESOME. And you are such a snarky bastard, and I love when you start cussing in Czech and I love... you. Everything about you. Why do you not have more screen time?
-I could go on and on for PAGES about how horrible Katie Brown is. I don't mean her personally- she's a cipher of a character. But she's a horrible idea/conception for a character, and there's just no there there, you know? Rodney is such an overbearing, overwhelming personality. He makes for such great dynamics with characters who can stand up to it, like Carson and Radek and John and Sam, but poor Katie just disappears when he's on screen. I don't believe for a minute that Rodney respects her or likes her at all. I mean, I just flat-out chose to disbelieve everything to do with her, that's all.
I want SO MUCH John/Rodney amnesia fic now.
