I'm really sad that Ellen has just disappeared, too. Seriously, they couldn't throw in a line about whatever she's doing now to at least acknowledge her existence?
I also agree about the boys' lack of togetherness being disappointing. They went through a lot of trauma in AHBL I & II, and for all they know this is their last year together, so it makes me sad that they're spending so much of it apart.
Also, this: Dean thought his deal would leave Sam safe forever, absolve him of all responsibility- instead, it has only made it so he will not be able to keep protecting Sam when he needs it.
I don't think Dean can let himself regret making the deal (at least not right now) but hearing Casey say that a lot of the demons are going to be going after Sam had to be a really bad moment for him. I'm a little too shallow for the rest of the thinky stuff - I just keep getting caught up in the impossibility of the boys getting hotter every episode. :D
