Out to the Prop 8 protest downtown. Took the train for the first time. Discovered that I actually really like downtown Dallas. Nice, clean, pretty, not too horrendously yuppie little area with good little nooks and crannies, good sculpture and some good architecture. It's more car-heavy and less pedestrian friendly than I like, but, DUH. And the train is good. Overall... really nice.
Good protest. Met Jacqueline and had coffee and a really good conversation. I actually have... friends . Who shout my name across an intersection when they see me and want to have coffee and the sorts of conversations we have make me... feel like I'm in school again, which is about the highest compliment you can get from me. So. I really need to organize my life so I can get this- downtown, protest, friends for coffee and academic conversation- regularly.
