I am one of those people who fell in love with Obama HARD back in 2004, mostly because I have an emotional, irrational weak spot for exactly his type of oratory. But the rampant sexism in covering Clinton's campaign + the media crap over "Hillary holdouts" + the blatant and boggling pandering in picking Palin + the horrible sexism in covering her (because she is pretty much the WORST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE on EVERY IDEOLOGICAL FRONT, so could we please talk about that instead?)... and the very fact that it IS a close election, when it seems like I couldn't possibly have *designed* a pair of candidates who ought to be farther apart, given their positions and strengths and this country's recent history... *helpless shrug*
It is hard to think too much about. That's why I didn't talk about the Democratic convention, despite the fact that I am still wildly, passionately, completely in utterly-platonic-crush with both Barak and Michelle Obama (Also: Barak/Michelle OTP forever, y/y?)
The Republican convention is even harder to talk about, of course *shudder*. But I should just point out that this is the most brilliantly brutal Daily Show clip I have ever seen:
Also, I am SO IN LUST with Jon Stewart. REALLY.
