Ooh this fic was brilliant. This gave me goosebumps: They stayed there, until Daniel stopped feeling wrong. I can so relate to that; I almost broke up with my partner when we'd only been together a couple of months because he'd been sick for three weeks and I hadn't seen him all that time (his idea) and when I did see him, finally, it felt weird. We're married now, but that moment of what-if still gives me the shivers.
