i'm most impressed by the narrative voice. it's so jack, and yet it's so different from his dialog.
Oh, thank GOD! I spent forever twiddling with that first section, on jd_junkie's advice. Because the *character* voice of first-season-Jack is so totally different from the *narrative* voice of 13-years-later Jon, and trying to make that distinction in first person nearly killed me. I am SO GLAD this worked for you.
