Ach. Your John has so many unvoiced thoughts. Does he have any dialogue here at all? *checks* Sort of, but not quite. And that's what sells it, I think, because he's a man of such few words and incredible power in the canon. I love this little glimpse into his thinking.... It's like he's distanced from all the people he knows, observing and guiding, and there, but set apart.
