In which I am greedy

dragojustineIt is the time of year for Christmas giving. Only two people on my flist have posted this meme but there is something that I can get each of them (working on it now). My whole family knows that I am a horrible gift-giver, and I feel guilty about that- I WANT to spread the holiday joy, you just need to tell me what would make you happy. Really, I wish everybody I knew in fandom would post a list like this.
Step One
- Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Yule is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
-Surf around your friendslist to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. If you are anywhere within a comfortable few-hours drive of LA (or a few-hours drive of Seattle in the week after Christmas) let me know so we can hang out. I need more Real-Life hangout time. Really, it'll be fun, I promise.
2. Send me a card. If you don't have my address, just ask!
3. Toys for my kitty.
4. Something from my Amazon wish list.
5. I would love links/recs for original fiction. There are so many mind-blowingly good fic authors out there, and I'm sure some of them must be bending their energy toward original fic online with the same strengths, but I don't know where to find the good stuff.
6. I want an icon that's just for me. Not SPN-themed, but maybe books or travel or swing dancing or my name or just something you think is pretty, all mine?
7. Give me some help in my "dammit, I want to actually try writing some stuff" pre-New Years resolution. Give me drabble prompts! (tons of fandoms- SPN, HP, Heroes, Lord of the Rings, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Journeyman, yadda)
8. Tell me your favorite EASY recipes. Not holiday themed ones, as I have all my holiday traditions firmly sorted. No, just year-round EASY things I can make in my poorly-stocked kitchen to improve my few cooking skills. Things that make good leftovers/are easy to bring in to work for lunches are a plus.
9. John Winchester's truck. No, really.
10. And last of all, what I want the very most for Christmas is for the studios to give the writers their digital-distribution residuals so all our shows can keep getting made, and SOON.
