So with you on the Adam/Kris/Katy thing. There are fandoms where OT3 really is the answer (White Collar, I'm looking at you...) but Adam has spoken so eloquently about his desire for commitment and monogamy and openness. A triad with a married couple? I just can't do that to my poor baby. No matter how good they are to him, it makes my heart hurt.
I am finding Adam realistic-RPS less squicky than J2 realistic-RPS too. I'm not sure why... it probably has a lot to do with both our Js being in committed relationships now? But I think it probably also has to do with the fact that Adam very deliberately pursued fame- as opposed to just "an acting career"- in a way the Js didn't. Which I guess comes close to that squicky "they were asking for it" RPS justification, but... well, there's a far cry between "I'm an actor trying to piece together an acting career" and "I want to be a POP STAR!" which I think makes it a lot easier to treat Adam's public persona like a fictional character, you know? Anybody who wants to be a pop star knows that they basically become public property. So maybe that's it. Or maybe it's just because we're not queering any real person who's actually straight. Except Tommy. Maybe. *g*
