Also, you're not the last person to discover the awesome that is Adam Lambert. i've never watched AI, but last week I read a Jensen/Adam story on sawedoff_recs that I found so charming I actually listened to one of his songs when it was played on the radio. I was really impressed with his voice, and now I think I'm a fan...so, pimp away!
