I found that there was enough in BSG to keep me content, and parts of the ending even made me happy. Perhaps I've moved out of die-hard fandom enough that the flaws just didn't bother me that badly - I knew parts of it were a crock of shit but I was just pleased that the story had an ending, as so many shows never do.
