If I didn't go grocery shopping, I wouldn't know ANYTHING going on.

Apparently it's the Superbowl. Who knew? If I didn't have to go grocery shopping, I would never have known.

Upside to shopping during the Superbowl: all the candy and booze is on sale.
Downside to shopping during the Superbowl: all the candy and booze is on sale.

I'm just gonna be over here, watching Boston Legal and mixing Oreos and fruity wine coolers. I'm sure there were other things I was supposed to be doing-- those baby steps to get me out of that spiral-- but... that's not gonna happen tonight.

Gah. One whole month of the year, just gone.

I think the whole thing with these downward spirals is that they aren't rational at all, and so many factors play into them. I hate when people get upset and tell someone to "just snap out of it," like the answer is that simple.

I do hope things start looking up soon for you. You have such a great mind and I know how hard it is to fully use your talents when blanketed by depression. *more hugs*

As for me, yes reading lots of good fic and fully implementing my patented Cloak of Denial (but you can borrow it!) Three months now since the amputation and I still don't have my leg. I actually am having my next-to-last fit test this week, so things should move faster now. I've managed to avoid any more surgery for now at least, but my whole rosy scenario that the leg would be chopped and everything would be easy hasn't quite materialized. Still though pain is better than pre-surgery. I'm just frustrated, mainly, and tired of pain and (heavily) restricted mobility. The only reason I'm skinny is because I also have celiac disease, recently diagnosed, and am a vegetarian so that limits 90% of food! Only things left are exceedingly good for me. Otherwise, with so little activity I'd be quite ... round.

whine whine whine - ignore me! Truly, things are good overall. Oh, and I adopted a dog! He was dumped out near our farm and we took him in. He's lovely.

I'm not going to ignore you! Immobility sucks- I hope the fit tests go well and you can start working out how to deal with that.

A dog! Eeeee, awesome! That's lovely.
