I should have said there that it was Caruso who has acting like a Prima Donna not Shanks (who apparently was the total professional as we would expect). Shanks is wayyy to good an actor not to do that (and Caruso sounds a bit like a twit IMHO).

CSI Miami used to actually be very interesting with some clever stuff to learn (e.g. I got all the knowledge I have about radiation from one episode and learnt about wireless internet access through another) and some interesting characterisations. Rory Cochrane was great until he left for example ... They had a great writer who wrote strong women characters and they covered interesting stuff like racism, weather patterns and ballistics.
