Still alive
I'm here, I'm back, I'm alive, really. And now I even have an internet connection!
miriad, thank you so much!
There is absolutely no way I'll catch up on my flist, but hopefully I'll be around now, and if I missed any great fic someone should tell me. Plus, I'll probably babble about SGA in the near future, and maybe even write a little SG1 thing. Because I've got to do something with myself...

The Season 4 SGA finale was OMG SO GOOD. I am such a sucker for alternate timelines, and the stargate 'verse has totally been putting out on that front. And oh God, Rodney devotes the rest of his life to getting John back. And not because John needs to save the entire world, because Rodney is safe and the Earth is safe and, in the grand scheme of things, it's not such a bad AU and life could go on- but no, his whole life to getting John back! And this... childlike faith that if only he gets John back, everything will all be all right. It's so sincere and so trusting and so unquestioning and oh, Rodney. And the thing that's hard to realize during the episode is that Rodney never actually sees John again. The guy we see is just a hologram, someone entirely different. Rodney devoted his whole life and he died, thousands and thousands of years ago, with no way to know if it worked, and never even saw John one last time.
Er, yes, I liked the finale quite a lot. *cough* And the Michael deal was very well done, actually. I feel meta-thoughts about half-humans and copies and clones and beings who think they're "real" humans and aren't, and how the Stargate verse treats them, and also maybe a big old meta about Michael in SGA versus Boomer in BSG, aliens who are deceived to believe they're human and their attempts to claim or reject humanity. Or something. It's smarter in my head.
Twilight is vampire romance, yes? Have not read.
I MISS YOU TOO! SO MUCH!
ETA: Also, um, that is the nicest thing anybody has said to me in a while. Wow. Thank you.
