I don't always agree with her, but I always think she's absolutely brilliant. I think a fannish lens really changes the way SG-1 looks- I mean, taking fanfic out of it, I can't really say she's *wrong* about SG-1. But I liked that because she made the point that it wasn't the planet-a-week space opera format or the, you know, sufficient lighting that made it childish- it would be possible for a SF show to be good and well written and adult without underlighting everything and trying to be Battlestar Galactica. Which is what I wanted to say, but she says things better.
