I find it interesting- one perpetual problem with slash is reading a story and having it sprung on you halfway in that "Surprise! They were already sleeping together!" I hate surprise-established-relationships in fic- if I can't TELL, then you weren't showing me properly.

Except Jack and Daniel have the opposite problem. I'm having the damnedest time writing them as NOT together already. I would be very interesting to know where in this fic you twigged that they weren't already, just for my own info... But I love your final conclusion about the story!
