It is different from normal, isn't it? Hmm. So many of the variations in slash center around which character gets coded as gay or bi and which doesn't, or which one gets to be "I've just never been attracted to a man before" versus "a lifetime of repression and denial." So interesting the way characterization circumscribes to those decisions- like, I have no difficultly with "a lifetime of repression" for Jack, but I would never in a million years believe it of Daniel. Huh. Thoughts?
