Yes, yes it did hurt. I don't think I can bring myself to touch the sequel- this hurt SO MUCH, but it also ended so perfectly, and I don't trust sequels.

I'm so happy to hear that somebody else on the planet has read this. No one I'd talked to had even heard of it!
