eta: and i just read this again, and now i'm convinced that carter might have been covering for them, but she was covering for herself too. the expressions she runs through -- i think that all this time she was delighted that daniel stayed on fridays, because it gave her cover for TEAL'C STAYING AT HER HOUSE. they could all claim, if it ever came up, that teal'c had been at jack's, but i think really he was going home with her.
and that was mostly what was on her mind; not the J/D. She didn't WANT Daniel to come with them. She was going through exactly what Daniel was -- getting lost in the science instead of rushing off to her Friday/Saturday tryst with her forbidden Teammate.
