Oh, this was gorgeous. I love how you chose to write it out in vignettes like this - I think the style worked very well for what you were trying to convey, and it gave the story exactly the right feel, IMO.

I love that you didn't write Sam leaving, but we still got to feel it, and I love that Sam refuses to go to the Grand Canyon with anyone but Dean, and that it takes 18 years, but they still make it.
